Ms. Lynn
Lynn Butler was born and raised in Twin Falls, Idaho. She graduated from Idaho State University in Elementary Education. She has lived in Boise for almost 33 years. In June, Lynn and her husband celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary. Together they have 3 children and 5 grandchildren. Lynn's interests have always been directed toward the young child. It was K-2nd grade that kept her attention while teaching in Genesee, Idaho and substituting in Boise. While her children were preschoolers, she team taught at a preschool in Boise but it wasn’t until she started teaching at Cloverdale Montessori School in 2001 that she feels she had come full circle. It is here that her love for Montessori education began. Lynn and her husband were given an opportunity to purchase CMS from the original owner in 2002. They felt it was a wonderful opportunity for Lynn to share her passion of teaching/nurturing young children and it meant that they would have a safe, educational, and wonderful place for their grandchildren. "My goal: To make Cloverdale Montessori School the best choice for Montessori Preschool education in the Boise Valley. " Some of Lynn's hobbies and interests include her grandchildren, golfing in the summer, snow skiing in the winter, swimming and biking when she can and she loves to sew.

Ms. Marie Ms. Marie is the most recent addition to CMS. She joined our team last winter. Ms. Marie was born in Managua , Nicaragua . She was raised in Guatemala where she obtained an Elementary School Teacher’s Certificate. She taught Pre-K children there for eight years. She then married, and was whisked away to Europe while her husband served overseas with the U. S. Air Force. She lived in Germany and England and traveled through Belgium , France , Austria , Italy and Spain . Upon her husband’s retirement from active duty, she settled in Meridian , Idaho . She has lived here in the U. S. since 2004, and she became a U. S. citizen in 2006. She has two children (Fernando and Izabela). Her hobbies are tending to her garden, sewing and reading. Ms. Marie’s philosophy: “I think that the best time to learn a language is while being a child. Their minds are like sponges that will absorb any knowledge taught. It’s so easy for them to retain the basic principles of the language. I thoroughly enjoy teaching Spanish, my mother tongue. My greatest satisfaction is seeing our students’ progress everyday in the classroom”.
